Patrimoine de Paris - Historical Spaces

Many Paris landmarks are familiar to those who pass by outside. Yet
there is limited public access to some government, religious, and
educational buildings that occupy important roles in the city’s history.
Each September, the doors to many of these places are opened for the
tours of the “Journées du Patrimoine,” offering free entry to this
hidden architectural heritage.

This collection of sixteen images began with those tours. Digital
photographic enhancement techniques are employed to add to the sense of
space and tonality of the interiors. Perhaps viewers will be inspired to
open similar doors some day and conduct their own explorations.
