Saving the planet--one prayer at a time

Most of us are well aware of challenges to the environment: pollution, rapidly rising population, endangered species, deforestation, shortage of energy resources, and climate change are just a few. These and other problems would darken our vision of the creation that God called "very good" (Genesis 1: 31). This is not the end of hope however. Christian Science reveals that it is still, and always will be, possible to see the light of God's goodness. And in this spiritual light, there are solutions to every environmental challenge.

About Deborah Huebsch: Deborah grew up in an abusive childhood, which led to drug addiction, severe depression, suicidal tendencies, and eating disorders. While she was in college, an introduction to Christian Science allowed Deborah to find healing and a reason for living. She earned a bachelor's degree in theatre from the University of California, Berkeley, and later an MA from the University of Oregon in interdisciplinary studies.

Deborah has danced professionally, directed a ballet company, and choreographed in various dance forms (ballet, modern, jazz). Learning to listen for God's guidance became incredibly helpful as she made major decisions about career, marriage, and where to settle.

As she furthered her understanding of God, Deborah entered the full-time practice of Christian Science healing and is currently a practitioner and teacher who lives in San Juan Capistrano, California. She has found her work immensely satisfying, challenging at times, and she strives to see how spiritual laws become practical and evident in ways that better people's lives.
