350 schoolchildren receive coats from Citizens Bank, COAT Boston initiative

Citizens Bank Massachusetts president Jerry Sargent greeted students during the recent Coat Boston initiative. Citizens Bank Foundation and City Mission Society of Boston have partnered for the effort which will deliver 9,500 coats to Boston children. Starting with a $25,000 grant from Citizens Bank Foundation, CMS worked with local retailers to purchase new coats earlier in the year. In addition to picking out their new coats at this kick-off event, Russell Elementary School children were treated to free books and a new pair of winter gloves.
