CBS Boston reported a suspicious bag was found around 9 a.m.

A bomb scare Tuesday morning temporarily shut down traffic on Boylston Street in Back Bay but the suspicious item turned out to not pose any threat, according to CBS Boston.

The news station reported an abandoned bag was found under a mailbox along Boylston Street between Arlington and Berkeley Streets at about 9 a.m. The bag was removed by police bomb technicians and then police determined it wasn't a danger.
