One Dead After Boylston Street Shooting, Suspect At Large

CBS Boston reports the suspect is a black man in a blue Hawaiian shirt who fled down Clarendon Street down Tremont Street

UPDATE, FRIDAY EVENING: CBS Boston reports the victim in Thursday night's shooting on Boylston St. near Copley Square as Ahmir Ariel Lee, 22, of Boston.

Earlier Friday, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis told WBUR investigators believe the shooting was drug-related.

UPDATE, 11:30 a.m.
: Boston Police have confirmed previous reports the victim in Thursday night's shooting near Copley Square died from his injuries.

The original radio call came in at approximately 11:08 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shooting victim at 553 Boylston St. He was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have still not identified the victim.

: One person is dead and a suspect remains at large after a shooting on Boylston Street in Back Bay near the Boston Marathon finish line late Thursday night, according to CBS Boston.

The news station reported the victim was a male believed to be in his late-20s or early-30s who was shot in the chest. The victim's identity has not been released.

Police told CBS Boston the suspect is a black man in a blue Hawaiian shirt who fled down Clarendon Street down Tremont Street.
