Video: Resident of Burned Building Commends Firefighters

"It's unbelievable what these guys do ... they have to be the best in the country."

John Walsh was in the shower at his 17 Commonwealth Ave. home when he heard smoke alarms go off Wednesday morning. Within minutes, he was outside and watching what he called an impressive response by the Boston Fire Department.

Although his condo suffered extensive water damage from the fire in the building's upper floors, Walsh couldn't be happier about the firefighters' performance. Walsh, who owns Elizabeth Grady, said his condo sustained damage.
