City Names Several Back Bay Garden Contest Winners

See who took home awards in the mayor's contest locally.

The City of Boston recently announced the winners of the Mayor Tom Menino's 2013 Garden Contest sponsored by Comcast, and several winners were from Back Bay.

In the Porch, Balcony, and Deck Category, Debbie Lingos of the Back Bay took home a second place win at an Aug. 13 ceremony at Suffolk University.

In the Storefront category, Back Bay's Fisher College also took a second place winner.

According to the city, "all finalists in this year’s Garden Contest were entered into a drawing for a JetBlue Grand Prize consisting of roundtrip flights for four to any of the airline’s nonstop destinations from Boston."

In the Porch, Balcony, and Deck Category: First Place winner Kimberly Roberts of East Boston with her baby daughter, Second Place winner Debbie Lingos of the Back Bay, Third Place winner Dale Malone of Dorchester.

In the Storefront Category: Friends of the West Roxbury Branch Library board member Robert Gaudet, Martin Grealish of The Evening Garden Club of West Roxbury which won Third Place for its work at the library, First Place winner Allan Ramdial of D Coal Pot in Hyde Park, Mayor Menino, and Jeffrey Conrad representing Second Place winner Fisher College in the Back Bay.
