Mayor Walsh Joins in the Effort to End Veteran Homelessness by 2015

Boston Homes for the Brave aims to end homelessness for veterans.

Mayor Marty Walsh has announced a new initiative, Boston Homes for the Brave, which aims to end homelessness for Boston’s veterans by 2015, the Boston Globe reported.

The effort is a part of the federal Mayor’s Challenge to End Veteran Homelessness, which aims to end homelessness among veterans through collaboration among community members.

Boston has partnered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Massachusetts Department of Veterans Services, Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, Boston Housing Authority, and other nonprofit agencies working with homeless veterans.
