  • Accepting a $60,000 grant for Boston Center for Youth and Families to provide nutritional meals to children.
  • An elevator at 360 Newbury that has been deemed unsafe by the Department of Public Safety
  • An order for a hearing about installing speed bumps on certain public and private streets.
  • An ordinance for GPS technology in all city emergency vehicles.

4. January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, approximately 13,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and about 4,000 American women die of the disease. But luckily, it’s one of the most preventable cancers out there so visit your health center for a routine screening and HPV vaccine.

5. Here's a few deals we just happen to have lying around: $10 off $40 at Bath & Body Works, $3.50 off $10 at ULTA and $10 off $50 at Aéropostale. Print out the coupons and shop away.
