Cultural Cooking Class Could Have Your 6-Year-Old Making Sushi in No Time

Part art class, part math class, the BCAE cooking class for ages 3 - 6 aims to help child development.

It's never too early to teach them to cook. Or introduce them to new foods.

The The Boston Center for Adult Education is holding an interactive cooking class for children 3- 6-years-old. The seven session class, Around the World in Seven Days” starts Friday, July 15. It teaches kids to mix, measure, and pour ingredients as they prepare cultural dishes like tacos, sushi and more. It's also part of the BCAE’s Child Enrichment Program, Bean City Kids.

Part art class, part math class, part mid-morning snack, the class aims to develop children’s' socialization skills, hand-eye coordination, and sense of wonder. It also seems like a proactive approach to battling a picky eater.
