Esplanade Association's 'Healthy, Fit & Fun' Underway
All programs free to the public.
The Esplanade Association has started their Healthy, Fit & Fun program for Summer 2013 with exercise programs for people of all ages through Aug. 30.
According to their website, each program is free and open to the public. Here is a full rundown of what is being listed as offerings this summer:
Community Walk
Mondays, 6 p.m. - Hatch Shell
If walking is your exercise of choice then this program is for you! Every Monday, members of The Esplanade Association will lead a group on a 2.5 mile power walk through the park. It’s the perfect opportunity to take in the beauty of the Esplanade and learn about the park while breaking a sweat

Tuesdays, 6 p.m. - Hatch Shell
Fusing Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves, nothing is more fun and healthy than a high energy Zumba workout. Routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined with resistance training. Come get your groove on and break a sweat on the Esplanade.

Sunset Yoga
Wednesdays, 6 p.m. - Fiedler Field (Arthur Fiedler Memorial Head)
Whether you’re a beginner or expert our yoga program allows you to challenge your mind and body while enjoying beautiful river views. Increase your flexibility and muscle tone, while achieving calmness, stress reduction and overall body awareness. Namaste!

Run ClubWednesdays: 6:30 p.m. - Marathon Sports Boston – 671 Boylston St.
Whether you hit the pavement every day or you’re just getting started, runners of all ages and levels are invited to meet at Marathon Sports every Wednesday for the Marathon Sports Run Club. Runners of ALL abilities are welcome and have the option to choose between a 3, 5, or 8 mile route.
6 p.m. – Warm Up
Come early for the opportunity to stow belongings, stretch, and socialize. You may even get the chance to test new products and receive free vendor give-aways!
6:30 p.m. - Join the Run
Pick your route! Break-up into the 3, 5, or 8 mile run group and enjoy a great run through the city of Boston and along the Esplanade.

CrossFitThursdays, 6 p.m. - Fiedler Field (Arthur Fiedler Memorial Head)
With constantly varied, high-intensity functional movements, CrossFit is a training philosophy that coaches people of all shapes and sizes to improve their physical well-being and cardiovascular fitness in a hardcore yet accepting and encouraging environment. CrossFit is designed to be fun, challenging, and effective for people of all fitness levels so why not come down to the Esplanade and see what all of the buzz is about?

Fridays, 7 a.m. - Fiedler Field (Arthur Fiedler Memorial Head)
Looking for a full body workout? Then come to the park for an aggressive, military-style, circuit workout featuring high-intensity conditioning and power moves. The beautiful setting will take your mind off of the burn!
