Monday Essentials: Meetings on Common, Bowker Overpass

Welcome to Monday Essentials, your guide for the week to come in Back Bay. Here's what you need to know for the week of Monday, Aug. 5:

BOWKER OVERPASS REPAIRS MEETING

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will host a public meeting regarding proposed Bowker Overpass repairs Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the Boston Public Library.

According to MassDOT, the meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the Mezzanine Conference Room at the library's Central Branch at 700 Boylston St.

BOSTON COMMON RENOVATIONS

The City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department is holding a meeting regarding improvements meeting to the area of Parkman Plaza at the Visitors Information Center on Boston Common.

The meeting is slated to take place Thursday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. at Emerson College's Bordy Theater, 216 Tremont St.

GREENFEST THIS WEEK

Entering its sixth year, Boston GreenFest 2013 will entertain and educate with music from countries around the globe, all kinds of exhibits of fashion, cars, robots, art, poetry, dance, tai chi and more. It runs Thursday through Saturday at City Hall Plaza. More information here.
