Two Rockland Men Charged with Bike Theft on Newbury Street

Boston Police Officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress on Newbury Street at 2:05 a.m. on November 15. Upon arrival, officers reportedly observed two males who matched the given description headed down Boylston Street with a grey bicycle. The two men were stopped and brought before the witness, who identified them. The witness stated that they had observed the suspects with a bicycle with no front tire and had heard a popping sound, followed by the sound of a chain being shaken off the bicycle. The witness then stated that they observed the two men leave with the bicycle. One of the suspects admitted to taking the bicycle. The two men were arrested and taken in to be booked.
