Ex-Clio Chef Charged with Stabbing Man at Crossroads

Clio chef charged with stabbing a man while showing a woman how to use a folding knife.

On February 20, Back Bay Patch reported that a man was arrested for stabbing someone at the Crossroads at 495 Beacon Street at about 2:10 a.m. on February 17. The Boston Phoenix reported that the man charged with the stabbing was the executive chef from the award-wining Clio restaurant. Doug Rodrigues of 358 Commonwealth Avenue was arrested for allegedly stabbing a patron of the Crossroads in the thigh. A witness told officers that she was talking to the suspect about how she should carry a knife for self-defense. The witness said that she did not know how to open a folding knife.
