The Esplanade Association’s young professionals group – the TEA Council – is host an Ugly Sweater Party on Jan. 31st from 7 p.m to 10 p.m. to benefit the Charles River Esplanade. Dig out your ugliest sweater and enjoy a night out at the exclusive Foundation Room at the House of Blues (15 Lansdowne Street). Tickets are $25; buy them online or by calling 617-227-0365 x103. Your ticket will include: Proceeds from the evening will benefit the restoration and enhancement of the Charles River Esplanade.

The following is an edited release that was sent in by Christopher Timmel of The Esplanade Association: Work is now complete on the new sculpture and landscape project at the Esplanade’s Stoneman Playground, the site of the first project completed by The Esplanade Association eleven years ago near the intersection of Hereford Street and Storrow Drive. Though the sculpture and refurbished surrounding landscape are complete and open for use, The Esplanade Association plans to hold an official ribbon cutting ceremony in the upcoming spring.
