Hints of a bright hue against neutrals can make an outfit pop.
Lydia's red patent leather accessories caught my eye as she was leaving work on Newbury Street. She notes magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, and In Style as good places to glean a multitude of views on what is fashionable. Here she wears an Ann Taylor cardigan and sequined tank top, skirt from Forever 21, belt from Gap, and Enzo Angiolini pumps from Nordstrom.

Dress like you just don't care.
I found Steven out and about in the Back Bay and I liked the look of his nonchalant staple pieces. It was clear he had picked quality and aesthetically-pleasing basics and reminded me of what James Dean might wear if he were young and alive today. Not surprisingly Steven named Bette Davis as a fashion icon "because she never cared what others thought about her, ever." Steven found his jeans at Gap, his coat at an an Army Navy Surplus store, his plaid shirt from Urban Outfitters, and his gray zippered boots at The Tannery.
