UPDATE, Sunday, 10:06 a.m.— Police say two people were stabbed in a 1:30 a.m. incident at 74 Beacon St. The wounds did not appear to be life-threatening, said Boston Police Officer Jamie Kenneally. ~~~~~ Scanner reports from early Sunday morning indicate two people were shot and one person stabbed at Beacon and Charles streets. Twitter user @NEFirebuff reports the two shooting victims were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and Tufts Medical Center, respectively. At least four people were stabbing within minutes of each other on Beacon Street and Mass Ave.
Updated at 5:09 p.m. A statement from the District Attorney's Office confirms "investigators believe that the individuals involved in this afternoon’s multiple stabbing downtown are known to one another and that at least some of those individuals had a connection to a case in Suffolk Superior Court." The D.A. will not identify the case to the protect the court proceedings. A homicide prosecter has been assigned and was at the scene, and is in close contact with police, the statement said.
