Georgetown Cupcake Opening on Newbury Street
The gourmet cupcake shop is scheduled to open next spring.
Georgetown Cupcake is coming to 83 Newbury Street next spring.
With two locations in Washington D.C., the shop was opened in 2008 by sisters Katherine and Sophie - who host the TLC show DC Cupcakes. Another store is schedulded to open in New York in the winter.
Representatives were before the Neighborhood of Back Bay Licencing and Building Use Committee last week, and received approval from the city's Back Bay Architectural Commission on Wednesday.

The cupcakes sell for $2.75 each, and come in flavors like red velvet, chocate ganache and bubblegum pink, as weel as season specials - including white chocolate pepermint, gingerbread, cinnamon spice, and many more for the month of December.
