Victor Wooten Joins Berklee Bass Department in Concert on September 30th

Five-time Grammy Award winner Victor Wooten comes back to Berklee to perform with Berklee’s Bass Department on September 30th at the Berklee Performance Center. Wooten is no stranger at Berklee as he is one of the instructors of Berklee’s Summer Bass Workshop. Also, his novel The Music Lesson has been integrated into Berklee’s core curriculum.

To add to his incredible achievements, Wooten won “Bass Player of the Year” from Bass Player magazine three times in a row, which is more often than anyone else. He is widely considered the most influential bassist of the millennium.

Berklee faculty member Victor Bailey, Berklee artist-in-residence John Patitucci, Berklee Summer Bass Workshop director Victor Wooten, and Berklee Bass Department chair Steve Bailey have underpinned some of the greatest recordings and tours of the last three decades. A few of their career collaborators include Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Madonna, Bela Fleck, Dizzy Gillespie, and Willie Nelson.
